Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) in the Kia Seltos is designed to help detect and monitor a vehicle ahead, or help detect a pedestrian or cyclist in the roadway. When the system determines that a collision risk is increasing, it may warn the driver with a warning message and audible alert, and may assist with emergency braking.

Refer to the image above for the detailed location of the detecting sensor. Keeping this area clean and unobstructed is important for proper Kia Seltos FCA operation.
CAUTION

Never disassemble the detecting sensor assembly or cause damage to it.

If the detecting sensor has been replaced or repaired, have the Kia Seltos inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

Never install accessories or stickers on the front windshield, and do not tint the front windshield.

Use extreme care to keep the front view camera dry.

Never place reflective objects, such as white paper or a mirror, on top of the dashboard.

Do not place objects near the front windshield or install accessories on the windshield. They may affect the defogging and defrosting performance of the climate control system, which can prevent ADAS functions from operating correctly.

When operating on supported highways, it can help maintain distance from the vehicle ahead, maintain the set speed, and help keep the Kia Seltos centered in the lane. NOTICE HDA is available only on controlled-access roads of certain highways.
